What is the difference between BrAPP
and the Faculty of Pharmaceutical Medicine?

The two organisations have a synergistic relationship.

The Faculty exists to set, maintain, and where possible, to raise standards in the practice of pharmaceutical medicine. (Source: Faculty of Pharmaceutical Medicine Handbook. Second Edition)

BrAPP exists to support and represent the interests of its members throughout their careers.

Perhaps, in simple terms, the Faculty looks after pharmaceutical medicine and BrAPP looks after pharmaceutical physicians.

Why should I join BrAPP?

BrAPP seeks to enhance the standing of pharmaceutical physicians through training, education and development. It also provides a networking environment for all its members. Members may contact colleagues through the BrAPP office and now via the website. BrAPP organises meetings, symposia and workshops and seeks to update and develop its programme of events in the light of member feedback. The Association publishes a quarterly journal and seeks to provide members with useful mailings throughout the year.

How do I get into the pharmaceutical industry?

Members of the BrAPP Operations Committee are pharmaceutical physicians with a wide range of experience and career pathways. They are available, via the BrAPP, office to offer careers guidance to would-be (and indeed current) pharmaceutical physicians. We also offer a curriculum vitae vetting service. Once again this should be requested via the BrAPP office.

We also provide a pack with information about becoming a pharmaceutical industry. Simply fill out the form below:
